Regretful Man Creates Fake Robbery To Propose To His Unsuspecting Girlfriend

There are some beautiful proposals out there, and then there is this monstrosity involving a fake robbery setup.

I have seen some of the most amazing proposals. Ones that will melt any Grinch heart and make any grown adult cry a river of tears. After all, they’re supposed to be moments you will remember for the rest of your life. In a good way.

If we’re being honest, I’ve never seen a proposal quite like this one below, and there’s probably a very good reason for that. It’s the same logic I use when I go to a fancy restaurant and see an odd pairing of two foods who shouldn’t be together: if it doesn’t already exist, there’s likely a good reason. No need to think too far out of the box, that’s where things get messy.

How bad could it be, you ask yourself?

The genius (sarcasm implied) boyfriend staged a fake robbery. And not just a little purse swipe, but full on scaring the living daylights out of his girlfriend kind of fake robbery. Then he proposed to her. Honestly, genius (sarcasm again implied).

LadBible sums up the clever plot pretty well: “Footage shared from the shop’s CCTV shows the loved-up couple picking up some groceries, before an armed robber storms in and pushes them to the back of the store.

The thief, with his hand in his coat pocket pretending he had a gun, then asks the pair whether they have kids – the woman clearly in considerable distress by this point.

Feigning terror, the man tells the robber that they have three kids – the oldest 14, the middle six, and the youngest aged just two – but aren’t married yet.”

Imagine this, you love someone and want to marry them, but first you want to put them through this…what the actual fluff…

“As the woman sobs, fearing she may never see another day, the thief approaches them and hands a ring box to her partner who bends down and pops the question.”

Even though I would have thrown everything within my grasp at his face if I were her, she said yes.

Apparently the couple discussed having a unique proposal, but I don’t think either of them knew just how unique it was going to be. Originally, he wanted to have his girlfriend arrested but the local Boston police wouldn’t agree to such a waste of their resources. So, he ended up on the choice of ‘fake robbery’ which as we can all see, was a terrible decision.

He said: “My math was off. Way off. Horribly off.”

Guys, gals, anyone- if you are thinking of proposing and having it be something to remember, do not do what this guy did.
